If the problem is with Openzone hotspots then it doesn't matter which roaming provider you log in with - you don't get to see the login page anyway.
My problem is now solved though - BT Openzone...

Latest on this - I can connect my Nokia 770 to BT Openzone without problem using a hotspot at Stansted Airport, but not at the hotspots in phoneboxes in Newcastle. Perhaps there is a problem with...

I've given this another go, and according to BT Openzone support, I should be getting an IP address 10.x.x.x - well instead I'm getting 172.29.x.x, which might have something to do with it. I've...

From BT Openzone support:
So at least someone is now looking at it.
Confirming that the DNS IP addresses returned from the hotspot are the correct ones, so that isn't the issue.

I also have this problem with my 770. I can see the landing page for The Cloud, T-Mobile, and various smaller services, but not BT Openzone. And this is when I can connect to the hotspot without...

Well, I've tried a different branch of Starbucks and managed to log into the T-mobile hotspot with no problems (and no special software/config required). I've still not been able to get into any BT...

Thanks guys. I've seen a suggestion that maybe the BT Openzone and T-Mobile landing pages cause problems for the 770 web browser. So is there anyone who has been able to access these services...

Can you log into public WiFi hotspots?
I've just bought a Nokia 770 and it connects to my BT Home Hub without problems. I can get onto the internet from anywhere in my house.
However outside, in my local Starbucks or in the vicinity...
