Maybe I need to have my tinfoil hat adjusted, but I have always just assumed that Tor was a NSA project to get people with something to hide to funnel all their traffic through NSA sponsored servers....

Long ago I switched to the Mobile 2 theme for this site and never looked back. The colors are hideous but it's very fast and usable.

I noticed the same behavior as described by the OP, but it went away (2 weeks now) after I did a hard reboot by shutting down and then removing the battery for a bit and then restarting.
