As you already know video camera has auto fixed focus before the recording start.
But it kind of pointless if you trying to recording something else in the background and want to refocus without using "lFocus" because it lagging the frame rate and even stuttering.
If there is a way to get the camera to refocusing when pointing at a different object just like the video camera recorder then this will make the N900 an awesome device. Touch focus add on would be a nice thing, like cover up the proximity sensor and the camera refocus automatically and also activate LED flash when it is dark.
Could someone with a powerful brain come up with something like this?
The concept is:
- While recording, touch the Proximity sensor and hold for 1 second and the camera lense will readjusting it's focal point (Only when camera lense is opened). Then after it will stop and touch it again to refocus.
- No UI interface = less frame drop
- Video always be in focus even during the recording session
- Light sensor will activate LED flash when the Luxus value is below a certain value.
- Less shaky video when trying to focus.
Please someone out there make this possible.
