For what I do, it's fine, and I wish the team good luck. One thing is certain, Canonical has p***ed-off a swath of its user-base and will likely lose them to other distros.

Yes 11.04 has really divided ubuntu users, many really hate it, the others embrace the new features,i wouldn't say i hate it, i think unity is a good feature, it just need some more work, and the hole system also needs a bit of work, i really think that it has been done in haste to reach the deadline.
