I definitely believe (and hope so) in the handheld the size of the 770. We do not need very much power to do things like mailing, blogging, chatting, having a phone call, listening to offline and online music and watching offline and broadcast videos. We only need something that lies in a normal pocket and has a good quality display.
Ok, there are mobiles or smartphones but mobiles/smartphones are unable to be good challengers in these domains above all due to their screen too small for seeing something on it.
In fact, absolutly speaking, why shall we need mobiles in a short future ? For nothing else as a network adapter to GSM/EDGE/HSPDA networks.
Of course that is not the way the cell operators want to make money. Like everyone they want to develop high value-added services on top of their networks in order to earn more and more money.
But for me the page is definitely turned over : the future lies in small/convenient and multiconnected tablets like the 770. The mobile as a computer has no sense any more. Why should we reinvent things (as the mobile operators do: voice, music, video) we have been used to do for more than 10 years on the Internet with a PC ?
Conclusion: if the SIM card could be incorporated into the tablet it would be great, one device less to wear.
