Ok, I must admit I'm not able to fix the 'foomatic-filters' package,[...] I have find the ppd on the Linux OpenPrinting site.[...] the ppd was modified [...] because if I extract ppd from the windows driver, then this one don't require the 'foomatic-rip' command.
If they're HP, unless they're plotters, [...] use the generic postscript PPD and you should be fine. [...] You only need Foomatic if you're converting to something off, like PCL for a plotter, or [...] [a printer] that doesn't know generic postscript.
