I remember reading vdd2 is what makes devices unstable in the most cases.... maybe you can start with vdd1-only, like the setting in QCPUFreq does.

My phone didn't reboot when I turned SR vdd1 on, but it lost SIM card after switching to tablet mode or sometimes under heavy load. So I never bother to turn it on again. Everyone's mileage varies...
