Hello Everyone,

My n900 had developed a touch screen issue wherein no touch was being registered in any screen.
Nokia Service in my area refused to touch the phone and the reason was that they didnt have enough expertise in N900 !! (I am based in India and the phone was available only for a couple of months)

Since my phone was out of warranty I decided to dismantle the phone. I used the 'Nokia Service Manual' for the same and cleaned all the flex and adapters visible in the touch assay. On reassembling, my touchscreen was working perfectly but my earpiece had stopped working !!!

Sound is perfect from the speaker and headphones but completely blank from the earpiece. Have went through some of the posts listed below for a solution but to no avail:

That can cause speaker to stop working. Take nail polish and paint those parts of housing that might touch speaker contacts and voila it works again.
I have tried expanding the prongs and compressing them but no sound available yet. What should be the correct position of the prongs ?Any other solution/hints for solving the issue.

I have also attached pics showing the earpiece and the contacts.Sorry for the long long post.
