Good question! That line is the first line of Stephen Crane's The Open Boat, and it's my favorite first line in all literature I've read. And I'm a Stephen Crane fan in general. You can get the story online for free and decide for yourself. Presumably, it's a stormy sky, but no one is looking up because they are facing death from the sea.

By the way, not everyone has a one or two year warranty. I got mine straight from Nokia for a special price, and to add to the specialness they made it a one week warranty. Weird, right?
