Hi keinola!

First of all thank you replying , well you are right that very little spelling can go wrong but I have followed the exact same process(without a spelling mistake) as you mentioned above the only thing(as I said earlier) when I execute:

tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/N11_Vostok.tar

I get the error message(or just a message might be):

tar: can't open the old file sdcard: Is a directory

and it stops right on this command

so I do no go on the next command of installing the kernel that is i have not tried:

dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb

as the tar command above does not unzips the entire Vostok
