kbd VS nokbd
a device such as the E7 w/ a keyboard makes little to no sense.
the only reason the E7 got one is most likely to underline its lineage, namely heir to the 9000 / 9xx0 & Co.
which is ridiculous, considering that most managers i ever dealt w/ which had this phone complained that the keys were too small to be of practical use.
the N900 successor w/out keyboard.
if there is ONE device where the keyboard not only makes sense but is literally required, it is a pocket computer such as the N900 or its successor.
to do all the Linux / GNU things without a physical keyboard renders the whole device pointless.
does this make the N900's successor a "geek device"? if the phone can be used (mostly) without the keyboard and the remaining features are top of the line, no, it doesn't.
if it was only about the "geeks" & developers, the N900 still perfectly fulfils the role.
don't want the kbd? get yourself a device from rotten iPotatos
or a N8
lollipops
these forums more & more make me think of little kids getting a lollipop
in fact it really sounds like a bunch of kids all getting only ONE lollipop
