Technut. I've been dealing with newbs in linux for the last 10 years. You need to guide. Point out the way things are done and move on. 99.99% of them will take the info and learn. Those who don't get culled. But the problems here are 99% related to the fact that the search on this site kinda sucks. I've found most of the info I need not by searching the site. But instead doing a google search using the site:internettablettalk.com switch.

So far I've found

and others I can't remember that cannot install despite being in the 0S2008 repository because they depend on 0S2007 libs. There will be a lot of hand holding. Welcome to the club, breath deep and move on.
