N9 is shorter. To be brutally correct we should be calling it RM-680 for now because N9, N950, N1000 don't tell what the device is. It's just a marketing name for device/proto that gets in to mass production.

Imo Rich Green is just saying that the device Nokia will ship this year is more of a follower to N900 now with the harmattan stuff and so calling it "N950".

Though i'm sure we all know what each of us means when we talk about N9, N950 or RM-680.
