A couple weeks on, and Ubuntu 11.04 has proven somewhat ok in terms of UI interaction, but has suffered in terms of stability on my machine. I have to restart perhaps once every 3 days and often at the worst times! Sometimes the UI becomes slow to the point of freezing, or displaying strange graphical artifacts on the screen.

I expect these problems will be worked out in time, but I'm still missing Gnome 3.
