If you look at the statement by qgil made on the 08/12/10 everything has changed within Nokia and that Licensing change requests is not only old hat but Nokia have put themselves in a position that requires change on that front.

The MeeGo project he talkes about is no longer backed by Nokia and Carston StSkeeps is giving the clear view he has no interest in Maemo any more as he has moved on to MeeGo.

As much as MeeGo has been developed it is no more than a very basic UI for the N900 and STILL requires closed source code to be opened if it stands a chance to address the N900 hardware.

Carsten posted on here only a few back and is pushing MeeGo hard without any talk whatsoever of the CSSU team and this made me sad.

Like it or not Nokia has done wrong in many peoples eyes and if the CSSU team are to be really succsessful it needs this code from Nokia UNLESS it can get away with reverse engineering of the closed components.

I would like your comments also on all of this if at all possible.

PS the more i read qgils statement the more it is all wrong now as everythting has changed within Nokia.
That statement is a complete joke now !.
