When I run "ls -l /etc/event.d/", each line begins with: "-rw-r--r-- 1 root root" and then comes "blablah-size blahblah-creation-date blahblah-name-of-file". (It gives you a hint about file permissions also remember that if you extracted the file to MyDocs or SD card, FAT32 type partition can mess up file permissions, so you should extract them directly to /etc/event.d )
