Good stuff. First of all, I have noticed the icons finally got some colors. Last time I checked meego(some months ago, not the DE edition) they were black and grey IIRC. I usually don't care about design too much, but now it is definitly better.

I think I will switch once the basic stuff will work correctly and good. And from then, I think we'll see a fast growing and improving platform.


Some parts will remain closed source as redistributable binaries, or not? Then it would be nice if they could always be updated to the newest kernel verisons, not like in maemo. Edit: Kinda answered in the privious post.

Are the minimal specs really requiring 512 MB Ram for a smooth working meego? If so, then I wouldn
t see the point in making a DE for N900 from Nokias point of view. Still think it's FUD.

And what about the DRM(or something like that) stuff? I read about it a couple of months ago, and I have no information if it will finally come or not.

Anyway, good stuff. Could finally replace maemo in the coming months.
