Hmm, maemo doesn't seem to have /etc/modules.conf :/ I would use probably launchscript then :/

Like bltcool said its the binary/compat-wireless folder. The on with contains all the .ko files.

So try seeing if that selector is causing you problems.
I haven't had any issues with 2g/3g selector.

Is it saying that bleeding edge drivers are loaded when you try to load them and when you try to unload it says that stock drivers are already loaded? Do you have the 0.1.0-5 version?
