I don't consider the EeePC to be a competitor of anything.

I don't want a conventional keyboard that's that small. I either want a split thumb keyboard (Samsung Q1, pepperpad, wibrain) or I want a regular thumb keyboard (N810, sidekick, MDA, etc.). The EeePC is just a bad form factor IMO. I can't see ever buying it.

Plus, if I just wanted a cheap linux laptop, I'd buy a walmart special, and install linux on it. I'm rather sure it comes out cheaper. Or I'd buy an XO, where I get one and the other one goes to a child in need.
