What will control the market is end user not carriers, they have no choice but to listen to there own customers.

This community does not seem to support Microsoft or its products it appears but the rest of the world does thats for sure so anything you read on here will be not the case i feel.

Microsoft are just way too big and a move like this will only bring success as a lot of thought has gone on behind the scenes even before an attempted merger took place !.

I think we are all in for a shock somehow.
