Hi,
I have a n800 with the latest firmware, OS2007 4.2007.38-2. I tried installing simple launcher (simple-launcher_0.9.5_armel) and camera (camera_2.9-2video_armel) but got a simple "unable to install" error when I try to do so in Application Manager. It doesn't state any reason for not being able to install. I am a Linux newbie and was wondering whether someone could help. Thanks, and here is the log file:
osso-application-installer 4.46, UI version 2
/usr/bin/dpkg-deb -f '/media/mmc2/camera_2.9-2video_armel.deb'
/usr/bin/dpkg --install '/media/mmc2/camera_2.9-2video_armel.deb'
(Reading database ... 12694 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking camera (from .../camera_2.9-2video_armel.deb) ...
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
dpkg: error processing /media/mmc2/camera_2.9-2video_armel.deb (--install):
short read in buffer_copy (backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/bin/camera')
Errors were encountered while processing:
/media/mmc2/camera_2.9-2video_armel.deb
/usr/bin/dpkg --purge `/usr/bin/dpkg-deb -f '/media/mmc2/camera_2.9-2video_armel.deb' Package`
dpkg - warning: ignoring request to remove camera which isn't installed.
