I don't want the same "tweaked" system as someone else, I want a stock OS and I tweak and hack the hell out of it until it's correct. I change the setup every reflash (1 - 3 months).


Or you could just create yourself a little script and auto install all the files and tweaks you need and modify files you need. It may take some time, but will work... All in one script
I don't want ANYTHING preassembled; in fact, anyone who does anything but build a N900 out of subatomic particles is just a wimp!

But really, beginning my explorations from a good jumping-off point seems perfectly sensible. maybe we can pretend that human history has already run on for thousands of years and not start with discovering fire.

I think the backupmenu approach would work well; in fact I used it when I had two N900s. Please don't send the police after me. i hope Nokia doesn't sue.
