"Disruptive" is such a vague concept.
To me, I would apply the word more on stuff like that:
"D-pad interface" => "stylus interface" => "touch interface" (hey MS rewrited an entire OS to go from 2 to 3)
"gamepad gaming" => "gesture gaming"
"DVD" => "streaming" (whereas "DVD" => "Blue Ray" isn't one)

but not necessarily on a single device.
