There is a free xmltv feed for India too at http://www.whatsonindia.com. To download the xmltv file one has to create an account and enable the feed in the profile (under TV preferences tab). After that a direct link is available something like this

http://www.whatsonindia.com/XMLTV_Download/filedeliver.aspx?formatname=DigicableDelhi&request er=username&password=password
The service needs to be re-enabled every 30 days. Perhaps you can add this to your application.
