True. But I guess the point is not to thwart attacks, but to deter them. A home network will never be attacked, except by opportunistic wardrivers. If my neighbors have unsecured WiFi and I have WEP with MAC address filtering, I'm not going to be the one attacked. Of course, I really should be using WPA2 encryption. I suppose I could use that, if I could get Ubuntu and the (future) n800 to play nice with it.
