I was wondering if it would harm the processor if the frequency was locked at around 900MHz. As it appears in Conky, the CPU does go down to about %1 or less when not in use, but the frequency does not change. My device seems to be way more stable in that situation even when going up to 1000MHz and locking it. and it also gets a lot smoother. and the device does not heat up when doing that even while on charge. It seems like the N900 laggs as it changes frequencies, and it does that ALOT if you observe Conky, so locking the frequency makes it preform a lot better even at a frequency as low as 500MHz. Give me some advice and opinions.
