I do like the swipe gesture but can see sometimes accidental doing so.
Doesn't happen to me, if it ever happens it's no biggie because it snaps back in an instant. Swiping motion has to start from the very edge, that is why there is the smooth bezel around it so you have enough space to swipe from outside the screen.

If you are sloppy, it's more likely that you miss a swipe by starting from inside the screen, rather than do one by accident.
