HAM is really slow, try FAM (in repo's) it's a lot quicker as for cssu have you got the cssu tuner installed? i always had 9 screens after installing CSSU, i only recently installed maemodder. the option for 9 screens is in the manage views dropdown in the edit cog?? on your desktoptop right when you tap screen you'll see it, from the dropdowns you can change background add widgets, bookmarks, shortcuts, contacts and manage screens. when you press it 4 little screens with ticks in them will open and you can slide to left enabling you to open up the other desktops. hope this helps a bit
