Here's what's up.
Apple is making $$$ over their massive ecosystem (music, movies, apps) and their stylish hardware appeals to most people.
Other OEMs are being competitive with comparable software, better hardware and cheaper prices.
Nokia is stagnant, still deciding on how to make their UX.

Why can't Nokia make a MIUI + WebOS hybrid, make a competent underlying software (MeeGo), heavily push for QML/Qt, and market the sh it out of it? They have the hardware portion ready.
