i think you didnt put a space after speedpatch.tar.gz
the command is
cp /home/user/MyDocs/speedpatch.tar.gz ./

you can try this
cp /home/user/MyDocs/speedpatch.tar.gz /home/user/

remember there is a space after speedpatch.tar.gz
