Hmm... I keep getting the 'ssh rejected key' error using methods #2 and #3 described earlier.

Is it okay to use an empty passphrase when generating the keys?

Also, just to clarify:
In garage, my key should be the contents of ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub,
beginning with:
'ssh-rsa <one line key> tetris11@machine' ?
