Sorry if this has already been asked and answered {even by me :-/ } but how "deep" does the SSU go?

I'm thinking of the Bluetooth stack, and how if I change Bluetooth headsets while a notification comes in (sometimes even just "drop" one headset and connect the other) my N900 reboots. Is this something that the "SSU Team" would look/is looking/has looked into?

PS I'm restricting myself to "Extras" only - no Dev or Testing. Is the SSU likely to be "ready" for me in the "near" future?
