Sooooo... either 1) They're overly paranoid and hilariously afraid someone will lift and use their open-source drivers and software on their own cheapy chinese-made clones (omnomnomnom! hehe)... or 2) they're continuing to intentionally purchase open-source unfriendly architectures and continuing to make contracts for said hardware despite the fact that the big selling feature of the Maemo/MeeGo line IS the openness. In the former case, they're just being hilarious and I can only shake my head and they should feel shame. In the latter case, I hope Nokia falls flat on its face for BOTH that and the move to Windows Phone 7 and Eflop & Co. can eat dirty tire-marked underwear for all I care. heh
