My fault.. been a while since I used the N810 and forgot that it didn't have external volume controls.

IIRC you should be able to click on the clock area to drop down a menu-like system and change the volume in there. You shouldn't need to open Media Player to change the volume.

I don't recall command line volume but at one point I had installed a 'graphical' volume slider on the screen but it was a pain. I couldn't get the volume level to save over restarts, but more importantly, it was easy to accidentally hit it and change the volume unintentionally so I scrapped it.

If I can ever dig up my N810 again and find out how I did I'll post here.. but I know there was a way to change the volume on the N810 without going into the Media Player.
