Heh Flash 10 is still a possibility for the N900, too. Don't hold your breath though.

UX-centric? I agree that can only be good, so long as we can still tinker to our heart's content (yes yes, Harmattan UI is closed, but we haven't even had a chance to play with it yet).

As for the non-replacable battery, I do find that to be a negative (even though it makes the device smaller and more beautiful), since sometimes it's nice to be able to take two batteries on a long trip away from wall power, and sometimes my N900 has needed a 'battery out' reset before it'll switch on (I've just been too lazy to research why this is - it was originally fixed in PR1.2 (I think 1.2?) but has come back to haunt me.

Sure, you can change the battery, but it's not a 30-second job, needs special tools, may void your warranty (if you screw it up) and you run the risk of breaking bits of the surround (read the service manual to see what I mean).

So yeah, much as my instinct is to defend anything which combines Linux/Nokia, I think "battery not replaceable" is a valid point. I've certainly made fun of my geek friends who [inexplicably, to my mind] tote an iPhone for it having the same issue.
