Thank you, I did perform a search first as usual, but I wanted to make sure.
I'm actually a bit afraid to try a reflash. Last time I did, when flashing PR 1.3 (from a Win XP computer), I almost bricked my phone, apparently because something was wrong with my PC's usb socket. I then had to get it to Nokia service.
Also I just re-read all the instructions from A to Z and I'm not sure I'm much smarter now, it's all pretty confusing.

This time around, I have also Ubuntu installed on the same machine (with that strangely acting usb port, but it has been behaving normally under Ubuntu!), and also a new laptop with Windows 7/64 bit.
Which one would you recommend I use for the reflash?

I don't quite understand what you are saying here. So there are, I gather, several ways of reflashing?
Which is the one I need? Do I need to do only rootfs or eMMC too?
If eMMC too, how can I back it up first, and how can I make sure my battery is charged when I'm unable to boot the device?

I'm sorry for having to ask so many questions in the same thread, but I don't think I'll be able to find the appropriate one for each of them

In my opinion, titan's profiles and it's "titanlikes" are depreciated.(keep in mind, ho ever, that it's my personal opinion and many people here definitely wouldn't agree with this).

I'm really stumped by the whole fiddling with the voltage thing. It's supposed to save battery life, yes? But the lower I go with the voltage, the more it's likely to cause problems with an OCed CPU? Is that it? If Titan's profiles are not safe, what would be a viable alternative?

Ooff, and I thought I had finally set up my N900 just right and perfectly working..
