at home I've got a Dreambox 7000 Satelite Receiver with Harddisk.
It's a great box (running linux as well) which has a 100 MBit-card.
It's great to record some movies and burn them on DVD.

The .ts-Format is very similar with mpeg but the sound is in another file. Creating a DVD can be done without demuxen.

I now would like to transfer some movies to my nokia 770. Has anybody done so?
I tried several video formats and resolutions.
But I don't know what's the best format / resolution and what's the best sequence:

- Convert .ts to Avi (or what ever)
- Resize
- use MediaConverter to COnvert Avi to DivX

...

What's the best tradeoff between filesize, quality and time to convert?

What resolution and formats is mostly used for TV-movies?
(For example it would be great to carry some small movies (each 20 min.) arround for my kids to watch in the car).
