Relying on the 'lock' signal is foolish as it requires the user to lock the device, meaning it will not work if it is autolocked.

system_inactivity_ind

Is a signal that gets sent when the system goes into standby (shortly after the screen goes off). So we trigger the sleep script from the device going into standby instead of the lock key. You understand?
