Erm.. this is the official announcement of the extension?

I mean, this needs to be a lot more prominent. It really should be spelt out clearly on this thread, there's no mention of it on the MeeGo forum thread, nor twitter, and the competition wiki is still showing the old dates. In fact the competition wiki is spelling out that anything submitted after July 31 would be ineligible to take part..

The competition runs from 01 April 2011 to 31 July 2011. After that no further submissions will be accepted and the winners will be elected by the community.
A week is very little time to develop anything, for the extension to have any chance to bring more applications it needs to be publicised. Also, currently, the extension is illegal with the competition rules so obviously these need updating. And before tomorrow night when the competition ends.

As next steps, can I suggest the following as a matter of urgency:
  • Update the wiki timeline and competition rules to enable the extension to be valid
  • Contact the current 'Desktop' category participants to inform them of the change, it's good manners
  • Publicise the timeline change on the discussion thread, MeeGo forum, and twitter accounts
  • Find and link to resources on developing desktop and widget applications, and make them available so developers can quickly find them

I'd have made a start on the changes only I'm not 100% sure what is happening with the deadline and I don't want to overstep the mark, I think there's still a little confusion that needs cleared up. It's better to be too clear than not clear enough

Nice project, helex

So I wonder if it is okay to join the Desktop categorie with this application?

Is this okay? Or should I try to sort it into a other categorie? If yes, which one?
Well considering u named it TcpipKeyboard, after the network communication protocol TCP/IP, you kinda made it a natural fit for the "Network and Communication" category
