I do not believe this is a software issue at all, as I experienced the issue right out of the box with a brand new unit. I was pulling my hair out in frustration with my apparently dead n810, and then I just pressed the g-spot with the stylus and it sprang to life. Beautiful unit, just beautiful... I love it.

Here is a photo of the spot to hit . . .



An 800 user should post a photo too if a variation of this solution works around the testy power button issue on your unit as well.
