I wonder how many of you getting the usb port broken tried to prevent this by filing down the connector teeth. That reduces the plugging/unplugging force to almost zero.

I did this the day my n900 came (I already knew about the issue), 9 months passed and the port shows no signs of getting loose...but every time I read a new message in this thread I'm afraid I could be the next one!
