I got my N900 second hand, so it wasnt brand new, and it went completely crazy on the next day after purchase. In the shop they must have only flashed FIASCO because everything was left on the phone i.e. pics, contacts, recordings, everything... so then I didnt know what to do and somehow I ended up here on maemo.org and flashed it, and its been perfect ever since.

ps. I think I even read a thread about a man who bricked his N900 and then somehow flashed it and got it to work again. (thats the N900 for ya )

Anyways, hope you get you pics and vids off it. Let us know if you succeed.
