Have similar problem with one network. If I get out of its reach without disconnecting (or disabling wifi) it will not show up again until rebooting (restarting wifi, changing driver doesn't help), though once or twice connecting to gprs/3G allowed it to show up again (erratic behaviour). It happens only with this network and not always can be recreated.
