get a new battery?

the age of the device isn't indicative of the performance of the battery
(the original NOKIA battery included in my (new) N900 was not working properly & i barely made it thru the day, even with only network on 2G & very moderate use; 1st tried a OEM which turned out to top out @ 800 mAh (vs. 1320 mAh for the original)
eventually bought an original one for a few bucks more & been happily going thru a couple days ever since )
