1. you can use any common format (instal "Extra Decoders Support" from repos

2. I'm watching video film for PC on N900 every night before sleep. Resolution is not very important. You can smoothly watch normal videos for PC (not HD like a 720p)

3. If you haver overclocked DSP, default player will be the best. Default player uses DSP for video encoding...
