While Steve keeps fans around the world paying for Apple's products at premium prices willingly, Cook keeps production cost down. People describe they are in many ways opposites: a visionary vs. a pragmatic.

It seems to me that Cook is excellent in maintaining efficient operation, but the lucrative deals (with the media industries, far east suppliers, etc) seems to be hammered by Jobs. The way that he seduced+strong armed the music industry toward online distribution seems to be due to his charisma/character/insanity, I doubt Cook will be able to do strategic moves like that.
