Thank you Johnx I followed the like you posted and after un-installing maemo-mapper and deleting file - /etc/osso-af-init/gconf-dir/apps/maemo/maemo-mapper/ and finally a reinstall everything is working fine. I am mostly going to be using maemo-mapper as a local street GPS unit in my service van. I understand there are other maps repos I can upload. understanding that this is my use. what repo's would be the best? I would like to have a complete street names and places for the Detroit metro Area.
