1. Ok First question: Did you have multiboot installed on your N900? If not please do so.

I see u dont have a previous version of nitdroid installed on ur system from the error.

Now try these steps

Assuming you have downloaded the file N12_UMay.tar.bz2 from http://downloads.nitdroid.com/e-yes/N12_UMay.tar.bz2, place them in /home/user/MyDocs

Open Xterm and login as root
Type

bzip2 -d N12_Umay.tar.bz2

cd /
mount /home /and
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/Mydocs/N12_UMay.tar

reboot with your slider open.

Let me know if this works out.
