Ok, i've now successfully downloaded and installed KDE on my N800 with 2008 OS. One little tip: Install the msttcorefonts onto your device so the KDE doesn't look all that bad. Where is this found, I may include it in final if it looks nice, can you please point out where this package is obtained. The default theme in penguinbait's tarball doesn't appeal to me, but that's not a big problem. Yeah, you can easily change this. If you have a theme you like save it and send it to me, I can include it in the final version. I noticed that the connection icon is invisible but clickable don't know what happend. I am not sure what you mean? Can you show a screenshot? The sceenshot tool is in KDE. I'm now transfering my boot mmc (4 Gig) to a 2 Gig card which will then be inserted into the internal slot and load my 4 Gig card with music (i'm going to hungray this evening) So as small conclusion: KDE is very slow Curious do you have swap partition or file and what size is it? When you say its slow, I would like a little clarification, I amjust curious what you mean. It is definetly slower than a desktop, and all the apps were written to run on much faster processors, no question. But its works very well, you might just have to wait 6 seconds for an app to startup, but then there is no slowness? but if you receive a doc, ppt, xls file via e-mail you can now take a look at it on the n800 and that's something very good! Well I have not done a lot of testing, but I dont think Koffice wil open MS xls doc or ppt files. There is a way to create Koffice versions of these and csv and rtf and doc, not MS doc is supported?
