If you previously owned an iPhone, a lot people will also have bought apps. So it doesn't surprise me that those people would buy another iPhone, otherwise their apps would be useless. Also the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 have a very good user experience (iPhone 3G not so much with the latest iOS updates), so I can understand people are satified with the product. And iOS is steadily increasing in functionality (build in and using apps), making it more and more difficult for any new platform to compete. Also if the iPhone 5 will have an A5 processor it will be a lot more powerful than most other phones (a LOT more powerful than N9!). Also I think that the form of the N9 matches iPhone rather closely (most closely matching Nokia phone in any case. Don't get me wrong, N9 has a lot of original features, but for most people the choice between N9 and iPhone 5 would be no-brainer: iPhone, especially if similarly priced.
